Our clients wanted to convert their unfinished basement/storage area, into an awesome Irish pub-style bar for hanging out and entertaining.
Our client’s favorite pub, McKeever’s Pub in Mclean, closed its doors for good. They decided to buy as much of the furniture, memorabilia, etc. so they could re-purpose it and recreate the McKeever’s atmosphere in their home. The salvaged items included; antique signs, stained glass, and even wood paneling from the walls. We designed the space around these items, finding the perfect place for each sign. The stained glass was recessed into a wall and lit from behind. The wood paneling was re-purposed on front of the bar itself. All of the new wood paneling and the beautiful mahogany bar top, was stained to blend with the original McKeever’s planks.
