The Opportunity

Our clients wanted to convert their unfinished basement into an Irish pub-style bar for entertaining.

The Outcome

When our clients’ favorite pub, McKeever’s Pub in McLean, closed its doors, they decided to buy as much of the furniture and décor so they could recreate the McKeever’s atmosphere in their home. The salvaged items included antique signs, stained glass, and wood paneling. We designed the space around these items. The stained glass was recessed into a wall and lit from behind. The wood paneling was re-purposed onto front of the bar itself. All of the new wood paneling and the beautiful mahogany bar top was stained to blend with the original McKeever’s planks.
