"Design is an expression of the purpose, and it may (if it is good enough) later be judged as art… Art can have no other reason for existing, other than to be to viewed or otherwise experienced. However, design requires a function."
I have been with Case Design/Remodeling since October 2018, and I’ve been in the interior design/architecture field since 2013. I’m passionate about design, because it offers me the opportunity to solve clients’ problems and fulfill their needs. I believe that good design seeks to find the perfect balance of form & function, beauty & utility, art & science. Good design should be beautiful—and even striking, but if it doesn’t fulfill the clients’ needs (how they USE their space), it is just something to look at. I love the challenge of taking a client’s ideas & dreams and converting them into a reality—creating spaces that reflect who they are and how they live, spaces they can live in and love for years to come. Before joining Case, I worked at the US Department of Labor and SmithGroupJJR where I was the lead designer for the MGM Grand National Harbor project—the largest project in the firm’s history. My previous career was as an officer and F-15E aviator in the US Air Force for 20 years.
Outside of work, I like to spend time on fitness, travel, and any/all outdoor activities, and I love college football—GO IRISH! During my military career, I was fortunate to travel the world to over 20 countries and 46 states. I’m always looking to explore new places & cultures, and I have a goal of getting to all 7 continents and the remaining 4 states.
